last sunset of 2007.
somewhere around the west coast of the south island in New Zealand. it was so beautiful that we decided to spend the night in a tent on that beach. no parties, no alcohol, no kiss. just this beautiful sunset. my friend fell asleep before midnight, but i wanted to stay up, to see if there's anything different. there wasn't anything different, of course. but on midnight exactly, the night skies were filled with fireworks from all the towns in the area and even from far away...it was amazing! and when it all disappeared, i laid down and kept looking at the skies - they were filled with stars! and i could even see - at least i thought i did - the milky way. i never saw anything like it, and all i could think of was my family back home. so i took the car and went to the nearest town, found a pay-phone and called home...NZ time is about +10 hours than israel's time, so they were quite excited to realize that i already greeted 2008. it was a special night, better than all the parties that i ever went to on any New Year's eve.
and on this opportunity, i'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year! may this year will be better than the last, and may your New Year's resolutions will be easy to follow :)
i would like to thank you all, my dear Flickr friends and photographers, for taking the time to comment on my photos and for sharing yours.
