American Cliff Swallow

After several hours of observation, I began to acquire little tidbits of knowledge about some of this swallow colony's life history, and its adventures.

Typical Cliff Swallow flight includes a fair amount of gliding; for that reason, they are easier to photograph in flight than Barn Swallows, whose flight is extremely erratic and difficult to follow up close, and whose gliding flight is much more limited, and less predictable.
