Cherokee, Iowa - Giant Poppies in my Mother's Flower Garden

I photoedited this image in Photoshop to give it a painting on canvas feel. This was shot using a polarising lens, and I liked the way the vibrant red immediately drew your attention to these poppies. Since they clamoured so loudly through colour, I felt it befitting to immortalise them in a mock impressionist style painting.
