Swamp Sparrow at Rockburn

Some helpful comments from Charlie M. "The slight yellowish tint of the supercilium indicates this bird hatched in 2018. What we call a second-year bird. It is the plumage they have when they leave the nest, and hold until their 2nd fall molt, when they are somewhere around 15-18 months old. So most of first year and most of second year. In the month of Nov, a 2nd year bird looks the same as a bird of any older age.
