Spicebush Swallowtail Butterfly

The Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly, Papilio troilus Linnaeus, is one of our most beautiful and interesting swallowtails. It is relatively common in natural areas and flower gardens throughout the eastern and parts of the mid-western United States. Larvae, pupae and adults are great examples of adaptive coloration. entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/bfly/spicebush_swallowtail.htm
