Waning Gibbous Moon on the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11
Shot this photo so we could remember what the moon looked like on the 50th anniversary of humans first visiting it. Its appearance hasn't changed through the millennia, just that 50 years ago and 1 day no one had ever set foot here. Tonight we when look at it, twelve representatives from Planet Earth have walked on its surface. 50 years from now the moon still won't look any different, but the number of humans that have been there, or are living there, will hopefully total more than twelve.
