365.363 Theme Week: Things I Learned From 365 #4
A year ago today, I started my 365 project with an uninspiring picture of my feet. I had been contemplating and thinking about doing this project for a long time prior to that fateful day, when I just decided to jump in.
(Get it? Jump in? With both feet? OK, yeah.)
I had no idea what I was going to do past that first day's photo, but I figured I'd just keep going and see what happened.
A year later, I'm almost done (I missed three days in the middle, so I'm making them up). I thought it would be appropriate to include another shot of my feet, since that's how it all started. Here, I'm standing on a bridge made of grates over a spillway for the Ohio River.
What did I learn? I learned that sometimes jumping in with both feet without a major plan can work. I learned that I have the tenacity to do a project like this, even though there were many, many days I didn't feel like it. That I could finish something I started. And that feels really good.
