Salts Mill

The heart of Saltaire on the outskirts of Bradford; The mill was created by Sir Titus Salte in the 1800s, part of his vision included building the "model" village of Saltaire for his workers, and has the nett result of some stunning architecture around the village and mill.

The mill is now both an Art Gallery (containing much work of David Hockney), a great restaurant and has a designer homeware shop (where we'd originally headed - buying presents for a friends wedding).

Bizarely the 2nd story is closed off to the public - it's the home of Pace Microelectronics.

This was taken at the Saltaire Festival, which seemed really good, just a shame we didnt have much time to hang around today :-/
