Las Vegas Lightning 4
After work in Las Vegas in July 09 I heard rumbling while checking e-mail, after wondering what the neighbors were upto I noticed a flash of light. Lightning!!!!. I grabbed my gear and ran out the door. Luckily there is a spot with a good view near my house. The 40d I shot these with had arrived only a month before, so I set up the tripod, set it on program and started shooting. after a couple tweaks and a slight location change to avoid a street light I settled on a 8 second exposure. Then I kept shooting constantly for about 25 minutes and was fortunate to get several nice shot of strikes hitting North Las Vegas
