Man in Jamaica - black and white edit
A herb seller at his temporary roadside pitch on market day in Spanish Town, Jamaica...
He was sat on the pavement selling herbs. Just moments from him, goats were wandering freely around eating trash. Another day, someone presumably sells Music Downloads from the same spot (going by the sign in the background).
While not a candid, this is not a posed shot. I don't like them for street photography as people put on goofy expressions or just aren't themselves or are just not giving me the shot that I want. So while he knew I was shooting here, I tried to catch the "essence" of him (as I saw him in situ) and he just looked up at me as he was and you can see the look in his eyes showing a hard life there not disguised by some goofy pose.. and probably a degree of disgust is reflected in those eyes because I am white but that's another story when it comes to shooting on the street in off the tourist trail Jamaica... (my tip = don't do it - the Jamaican tourist board LIE about the dangers even when you have a local minder with you)
