UP 1417 south in McGirr, Illinois on December 27, 2022.

This UP local did not run for four days over the Christmas weekend. This area got just a couple of inches of snow but winds up to 60mph blew a few good drifts. This GP40-2 makes easy work breaking its way down the Troy Grove sub. This sub allows 25 MPH and the 1417 and 4804 with 32 empty sand hoppers had no problems keeping track speed.
