US Post Office Whites City, New Mexico

Whites City, according to Mental Floss, is the smallest town in New Mexico (population: 7). But I'm not sure how accurate that is as there are at least a couple of other towns listed as "smallest" in that article that I question... for example, Jerome in Arizona is certainly not that state's smallest.

Also in question is the spelling of the town's name itself. I've gone with the listing on the New Mexico Department of Transportation state highway map, without an apostrophe. Older flickr photos show there was a sign here that read White's City, NM 88268 that has been removed. Neither the town's own website nor its Facebook page are any help because each uses both variations! Nitpicking? Yes, but what's so difficult about this?

Anyway, Whites City's significance is that it's located just four miles from the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns National Park. You'll drive through it if you visit there.
