While this abandoned house is in a remote location, there's still plenty of traffic that passes by.
In less than a mile, the road/pathway on the right will end at the Rio Grande. On the other side of the river is the Mexican village of San Antonio del Bravo. It's common knowledge (even among Border Patrol agents) that people from both sides of the border routinely cross the river to visit family, or, in the case of going from the US to Mexico, to shop or even receive health care... neither of which is possible in Candelaria.
