Fairy...
My trip to Snowdonia National Park was not as fruitful as I would have hoped it would be...mainly because the whole mountain range was shrouded with clouds that ceased to move over the week that I was there...I suppose August was not really the time of the year to visit the mountains. Locals had it that some of the bright sunny days happen well before Easter...so I might give it a go this year if possible...
So I did not do much of landscapes while I was there...instead I did a lot of cascades for which the weather was perfect and did a lot of climbing so that not all was lost. Sometimes the weather would simply not relent even for a moment so that we can get some decent shots!! Well it was frustrating but I did enjoy the cascades and my climbs to some of the 3000ers :)
Fairy Glen is a secluded gorge on the Conwy River. It's just off the A470, near the intersection with the A5 - there is a small car park nearby from where you have to walk for about 15 minutes to get to Fairy Glen itself. There is a small admission fee of 50p per person to cover maintenance of the footpaths. The glen is reached by descending some stairs which tend to be slippery when wet.
The colors were so amazing and the gorge itself was beautiful. You just want to soak in there for a bit before moving on. Well worth a visit if you are in that neck of the woods.
Thanks for viewing and have a good day everyone!
