Fiery...

My first dusk in Scotland was so memorable that it made all the effort well worth it. The drive from where I reside to Loch Lomond is about 6 hours and coupled with Friday evening traffic and a lot of clouds with rain in the air, I almost gave up on the idea of having any decent shots for the evening...

When I got to Loch Lomond, the spot I wanted to get to was about to be locked out for the day. However, the park officer was kind enough to say that I can park my car just outside the locked gate and jump into the car park. Having done that, I quite did not get anything going until about 10 mins to sunset...

It's as if someone punched a series of holes into the horizon to let the rays of the setting sun out, I witnessed one of the most brilliant sunsets I have ever been fortunate to be a part of. The sight was almost incredulous to say the least :)

Loch Lomond is the largest inland stretch of water in Great Britain by surface area. The loch contains many islands, including Inchmurrin, the largest fresh-water island in the British Isles.
