Dock Man

He aked me for spare change. It was a Suday morning (1977). He was all clean and shaved. No smells of alcohol on his breath. With just a cigarette in his hand he was ready to pose for my camera. I thanked him and gave him whatever change I had on me. He thanked me and left down the alley. I knew that before the day ends he will be back in his intoxicated state prepared for the week to come.

Great photography requires dedication, time and effort.

But above all there are costs involved as well.

Equipment, props and model fees, not to mention time,

are all "out-of-pocket" expenses for the artist.
