orange butterfly & japanese lantern

I have a strange relationship with moths - they terrify me but they also move me with their fragility and muted beauty. I am also addicted to trying to depict light. . . .oh, and fascinated by all things Japanese .

 

The moth pictures followed a series I did of poppies and insects that came about after a move from London to Somerset. I think in a way its me trying to get back to a more urban feel . . .
