Burning the midnight oil...
What am I doing instead of sleeping when I'm super tired? Taking macro photos! So I got a cheap $9 extension tube to achieve (relatively) absurd macro and felt compelled to do something with it before I would let myself sleep. So cliche watch macro is a go! Talk about razor-thin depth of field. Dusty too.
Lighting info: Turns out lighting a macro shot with less than a couple inches of working distance is non-trivial. But an SB-600 with LumiQuest Softbox III to the left, and a random nearby black sock immediately to the left of the subject to flag the light and stop the terrible glare I was getting without it worked out. Triggered via Cactus V4.
