I was visiting friends and family in San Jose, California yesterday, and took time out to stop by the holiday festival they always have downtown. I was thinking of photographing decorations and food and some of the more interesting buildings there. But I found the whole scene surreal, and actually a bit unsettling. It was not until I turned my camera to look at random people that I felt myself get back into the spirit of the season:
