Making homemade wine soap

I thought making soap with wine would be a great way to use that wine that's sat in the fridge too long! Here I'm making soap with white wine from a local winery as the liquid. Wine does some interesting things when it reacts with lye even ice cold. First it turns yellow. Then it turns orange. Then it boils and bubbles. And as it cools back down it turns dark brownish orange. Keep your eyes peeled for this intriguing new DIY coming soon to Soap Deli News blog.
