Ludwigstor, Nuremberg, Germany
Excerpt from Wikipedia:
The Ludwigstor was a gate through the Nuremberg city wall and is today one of the main entrances to the south-west of Nuremberg 's old town.
In addition to the Spittlertor , another connection to Gostenhof was required due to the increasing traffic in 1866. A town gate with a Rustika archway was built and named after the nearby "Ludwigstraße". Due to the further increase in traffic, it was demolished again in 1893.
The Ludwigstorzwinger (also known as the Köchertszwinger) extends between the Ludwigstor and the Fürther Tor.
