I was talking to my mom about our family tree last weekend and we realized that my kids are 4th generation native Californians. They would have been 5th, but my great grandfather was born in Ohio :) If you live in CA, you know that many people you meet aren't 'from here' - they're transplants from some another state or country. It's kind of cool to trace back our geneology in CA that far :)
