Same shizz, different day. These are all looking the same to me, but they were all taken on different parts of my trip and on different days. Really!
Having a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature, trust me when I say that I know Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken" is so extremely overused and has become cliche in our society full of language-butcherers.
Oftentimes, though, when a cliche encapsulates so perfectly our feelings and thoughts, it doesn't matter how overused it is. It works.
This trip made me realize so many things. The most important of which being that our choices are just that - our choices. Others may want an explanation, and sometimes, it's bigger than words can explain. Sometimes you just KNOW something, and you can ignore and supress it for a while, sometimes for years. You can pretend it's not there, you can keep it deep down and never tell another living soul. Until you do. Then it becomes real and more true than ever. And then the wheels are set in motion, whether you're ready for them to be or not.
So, my 'road less traveled by' is a path that's become more and more clear by the day. It's sometimes a lonely route, but I would not continue on unless I firmly and whole-heartedly believed in the destination.
I regret nothing :)
