Wig Wam Motel, Route 66 California
I spent several years of my childhood living not too far from this motel. I never realized it was anything special until, as a kid, we watched the movie Vacation, and it appeared on one of the postcards in the opening credits. We used to ride our bikes without supervision all over these neighborhoods in the early 80's. The area has changed so much. Today, I was actually afraid to get out of my car long enough to snap this photo. Sad.
