One of the biggest changes from the d700 to the d800 is of course, the pixels and file size. It seems like a lot of people end up buying a d600 or d610 due to the massive size of the files that come out of the 800. I'm finding that it slows me down a little. I shoot less pictures. Which can be good and bad. But the sharpness? Holy cow. I have photographed the moon a hundred times over the years and, even at a very small aperture, the sharpness just wasn't there. I am pretty happy about the sharpness of this photo -- and it was probably take three.
