Brierley Heart - acrylic painting on canvas *sold*
This painting is loosely based on a sunset seen from my studio window one winter evening. The oranges and pinks reflected in the clouds were gorgeous, and I had to paint it. Here, two dark trees are silhouetted against that sky. These trees curve and join together, forming a heart in the space between. I live in a place called Brierley Hill, hence the name Brierley Heart.
To create this artwork, I've used a mixture of acrylic paints on a canvas measuring 18cm (7") high by 24cm (10") wide. The colours of these paints continue over the sides of the canvas on which this is painted, to give one continuous block of colour.
Thanks for taking the time to view this painting.
