Usually I carpool to work with my good friend, but she called in sick today. Undaunted by the stormy weather I hopped into my faithful Honda Civic and braved the bumper to bumper traffic on the 110 South, (Hill Street was closed adding to the rain traffic). After about 45 minutes my car coughed and died. Great! Towed off the freeway by a Metro tow truck I sat in front of this seemingly popular restaurant waiting for Auto Club. I guess my Honda is a fair weathered friend. This is the third or fourth time it has done this in steady rain over the last 10 years.
