Large Diamond is a part of a series of Motives. These works by Dutch artist Freerk Wilbers are the result of the balance of two opposing forces. One is scientific in nature, the other is organic. The special material of the diamonds can bend and reflect light. As the diamond rotates, the light shimmers, oscillates and dances. Receiving light from the environment, it gives it back in the form of reflections, mirror images, spots of light and little rainbows that dance around the space.
