Clouds and Stars

Fastest night sky setup ever! I saw the incoming clouds and knew they were going to be a deal-breaker unless I was quick. I got set up and shooting in time and rather than wrecking the shot, they just added a layer towards the horizon which made for some nice lead-in lines as well as providing a reflector for the nearby light pollution, leaving the bulk of the night sky unaffected. Nice when it goes your way...

Exif: 2 x 8 minute exposures (1 star tracking; 1 static); f4.0; ISO 1600; 10mm.
