Sunrise with Evelyn
Evelyn McCullough www.flickr.com/photos/herringpond/ , a dear Flickr friend from Northern Ireland, offered to take me out for sunrise photography along the coast. She tells me that she can’t find many who will take her up on such excursions... and there’s likely good reason for that. Sunrise at this latitude comes quite early, and sunset quite late. In fact, it never quite gets dark this time of year (July 6). It can be pretty cold too, but Evelyn, gracious hostess that she is, brought along hot coffee... then it’s off to find the next subject for the camera before the early light brightens.
This was taken at 5:13am near Dunluce Castle, which can be seen here among the cliffs.
