Scoping the Miss

A chilly birding trip to the Mississippi River. Saw some Common Goldeneye and some Common Mergansers.I couldn't turn the Common Goldeneye into Barrow's Goldeneye no matter how hard I tried. For some reason this photo looks like I set the tripod and scope up in front of a mural or something; I think it's the chain link fence messing with the perspective.
