In this baffling moment in history people are being exposed to fake news, alternative facts, and hearing that the media is an "enemy of the people." Finding the truth in what we're hearing can easily become confusing, even for the most well informed citizen.
I can only speak for myself, but my experience working freelance for The New York Times has always been met with the utmost professionalism. It's always pushed me to strive towards excellence while being wholly mindful of journalistic integrity, honesty, and accountability. People stand up a little straighter when you're doing an assignment for The New York Times, myself included.
