336.2.365 • Holiday Bokeh Headed Our Way - Part Two

Can't quite recall how many times that exposure is used in this piece, but it went something like this:

 

Open camera raw file

Open in Photoshop

Duplicate initial layer twice

Change canvas size to twice as wide

Flip one of the duplicate layers over

Move it over to mirror and/or overlap the original

Rotate entire canvas 90 degrees

Duplicate the mirroring/overlapping layers and merge them into one layer

Change the canvas size to twice as wide again

Flip the merged mirrored/overlapping layer

Move it over to mirror/overlap the original group of mirrored/overlapping layers

Repeat that last part one more time

Align the three sets of mirroring/overlapping layers with 2nd set centered in canvas and other two overlapping on the outside edges

Adjust transparency on all layers

Make another duplicate of the main set of mirrored/overlapping layers

Flip it 90 degrees

Duplicate that rotated layer set three more times

Mirror, overlap and adjust transparency of those four sets to taste!
