Having dived and made the catch the Osprey's next task is to getout of the lake and take off.
The Ospreys return from Africa every year to breed. This male Osprey, tagged Blue 28 at birth, fledged at Rutland in 2010 and first returned 2012, and has been a regular since. At this stage it will be returning fish to the nest at Rutland Water to feed chicks.
