So the other day in my PCC Basic Augment/Virtual Reality class, (where I am a student) Professor Sam showed us how to add an Animated Character to a targeted Graphic using Unity and Vuforia.
My brain needs to do something like this many times so I can remember the ideas and steps enough to remember.
So here we are the next day and I got it work on my 6 year old iMac, using its webcam.
In this scene in Unity, we have that graphic, an Emu painting my Daughter made for last years Fathers day, and we have a character extruded and textured in Photoshop, Rigged and Animated in Mixamo, which basically adds MOtion CAPture data, this was exported from Mixamo as a .FBX Unity friendly file.
Imported into Unity and my mind is blown, so much potential here…
If this sounds interesting to you stop by the PCC VR lab for a demo, or sign up for any class with Unity in the title here at PCC or Open Signal.
