Parakeet Auklet (Aethia psittacula)

These alcids nest on cliff faces adjacent to ocean waters in Alaska, Siberia and Kamchatka and foraging primarily on planktonic crustaceans and jellyfish. This photo was taken on St. George Island in the Pribilof Islands off of mainland Alaska.
