20/365: The Things Dad Gave Us

Sunday, 15 June 2008.

Explore #188.

My dad introduced me to baseball, and my heart has never been the same.

When we used to live in California, we would go to Dodger Opening Day every year. I watched Nolan Ryan pitch a no-hitter in Anaheim. When we moved to Michigan (my dad's home state), we followed the Tigers religiously. I was at the final two World Series games in 1984, and when the Tigers won, I ran through the streets of downtown Detroit hugging strangers. I was 16.
