1/14/2011: 'Chinese Honey'
This is one of my favorite glasses. It started life as a jar of "Chinese honey." I found it in a market in Chinatown. I think it must have been designed to become a drinking glass, because the top is not threaded. It's smooth like a glass, and the lid was just a snap-on, snug-fitting plastic disk.
I recently looked for more of these to complement the lone Chinese Honey glass I have, but it looks like they're now being sold as "Chinese Syrup." That isn't as poetic.
