thank you for the card in the mail

the wild cats of paris are just so sweet

you should go up the eiffel tower

and look down at the white snow on the streets

and people walking about like little ants

and cars moving around like toys

save me a seat at the corner café

i would come

and sit by your side

and eat pink and green macarons

and get drunk on cheap wine

and sniff chocolate scented stamps

and laugh ourselves silly

and dream of sunset

over the white sands of bali

i would come
