Light within darkness

you should have seen me before the haircut

i had let my hair grow for months

it curled up in the back and i had to hide it under my collar

i wanted to play with the hair that had fallen to the ground

and make a large hair ball with them

i told her that my strength didn't change after my haircut

i will try to be strong i promised

the tan line has faded but i can still feel a slight indentation

that will eventually fade like all memories

the voice of regina fills my head as i played far

on loop all day
