The Ledge
There is something about standing on a ledge with no rails to make you realize just how small you really are. I can still remember the experience of planting my tripod legs out as far as I was willing to go so that I didn't have an obstructed view of the entire valley. I was very careful when panning my tripod for different exposures so that I could get an ultra wide shot like this one. I can also remember taking a deep breath when I stepped away from the ledge as if I had been holding it for the entire time.
