Reaching for the Cosmos
I captured this image in early February, on my first opportunity of the season to greet the galactic core.
After seemingly having painted the colorful Rho Ophiuchi region and the vast Zeta Ophiuchi Nebula, the leaning Joshua Tree and its smaller companion stretch toward the heavens, their twisting limbs echoing the branching dust lanes of the Milky Way, their silhouettes forever entwined with the cosmic dance above.
