Spinning in a Dream
My first flight of the year took me to Los Angeles, from where I drove to Joshua Tree National Park. Since I didn't have enough time to explore new places, I did things a bit differently, which resulted in this startrail image of Sleeping Elephant Rock.
It's no secret that startrails are not my favorite pastime. The reason for this is that neither have the patience to spend all night recording a single composition, nor the guts to leave my camera unattended. Nevertheless, I was surprised that I had taken my last startrail picture back in 2012, and coincidentally only about 50 meters away from the sleeping elephant.
It seems like life keeps sending us spinning back to the same places.
EXIF

Sky:
63x 5min @ ISO100

Focus stack of 5x 8s @ ISO400
