Summer Vertigo

This is a still version of my previously posted animated vertorama talen on Grimsel Pass in Switzerland

 

While in mid northern lattitudes the Milky Way is arching along the horizon in spring and early summer, its starry band turns vertical and goes right through the zenith in late summer, allowing to capture it in ths very special way.
