Giant and Bonsai

The dark horse and the center of our galaxy riding over Bonsai Rock in Lake Tahoe.

When I visited this place almost one year ago, I was surprised that the water level was very high. On many images I had seen, you could see small rocks sticking out of the water, letting you almost walk up to Bonsai Rock. However, while scouting the place in the afternoon, I was able to swim around it and the small rocks were all submerged.

I therefore had to shoot at a longer focal lenght to make Bonsai Rock more than a small smudge in the water. The result is quite different from what I planned, but I still kind of like the result.
