The Galactic Egg

In Lassen Volcanic NP, you can find a glacial erratic that looks like the egg of some huge prehistoric creature.

 

I was planning to camp at Summit Lake, but upon arriving, I found that both campgrounds were fully booked. I therefore had a very good excuse to do nightscapes all night long.
