Shining Through
My first Milky Way shooting this spring in the Swiss Alps feels like an eternity ago. The night was far from perfect. I struggled with the cold and humid air, some high cirrus clouds and light pollution. Furthermore, due to my lack of scouting the area, I spent the night on top of a hill coverd in cow dung.
In the meantime I have travelled twice to the United States and shot many great nightscapes in some incredibly beautiful places.
Like so many photographers I find it hard to keep up with processing my images, while more and more data accumulates on my hard drives.
Therefore, I probably should be thankful that I completely missed the new moon window in June. This way I found some time to start working on my spring shots again. But this luxury of time is already coming to an end, as I have to start preparing my 3rd US trip this year- to see the upcoming solar eclipse in August...
However, at least a few images made it through the processing queue and this is one of them.
