Moulton Barn Milky Way
As I was in the area, I could not resist trying my skills at the famous Moulton Barn.
The John Moulton Barn was built circa 1910. John and Bartha homesteaded the area, building a small log house and barn, and later built the “Peach House” seen as well in this image.
Together with the T.A. Moulton Barn, half a mile to the south, the two Moulton Barns are some of the most photographed barns in the world.
I therefore did not expect to be the only night shooter, but when I arrived, there was just a local guy about to leave. So I set up my equipment and waited for astronomical dusk. I only had about 90 minutes until moonrise and I was planning to use this time as efficiently as possible.
Later a few more photographers showed up, but, luckily, they were quite happy with the setup of my low intensity lights and it was pleasant to work side by side with them.
