Southwestern Skies

During my astrophotography sessions, I quite often leave my backup camera shooting in continuous mode to capture a time lapse sequence, while taking stills with my main camera.

Like this, I captured several sequences during my 2017 trips to the US Southwest. As this is only a by-product of my nightscape photography, I somtimes do not pay enough attention and therefore some sequences were unusable due to too many head lamps spoiling the scene or me beeing too busy to exchange batteries. Nevertheless, I caputured over 2000 usable images, with a total recording time of 14.5 hours.

My old computer was unable to stitch all the data into a time lapse, but after upgrading to a new system, I was finally able to finish the movie.
