Sequoia Milky Way Arch

I was tweaking this shot for quite some time and so far never published it. The reason is, that I am very unhappy with the lens I used: A Samyang 8mm f/3.5 fisheye. Maybe I got a lime, but it is extremely soft and I have to stop it down to at least f/8 to get reasonable results. This means it is utterly useless for astrophotography which requires fully open apertures. :-(

After extensive post processing, I achieved this result, which I am still not happy with. But as it is my first capture of the whole Milky Way arch, I decided to finally go ahead and publish it. If you do not like it, just disregard this post and I promise to never use this lens for astrophotography again.
